چکیده

| This article describes a topological routing path search algorithm embedded in our autorouter for printed circuit boards. The algorithm searches for a topological path that is guaranteed to be transformable into a physical wire satisfying design rules. We propose a method for incrementally verifying design rules during topological path search in a graph based on constrained Delaunay triangulation, and describe several improvements to the routing path search algorithm that remedy the overhead of the routability test and avoid combinatorial explosion.

Fast and Incremental Routability Check of A Topological Routing Using a Cut-based Encoding

abstract Many performance-driven routing algorithms do not consider routability. Routing trees are built assuming that there are no other wires. The main reason for this is that it is NP-hard to guarantee routability. Even checking for routabil-ity is a time-consuming process. This limits the usefulness of many performance-driven routing algorithms because unroutable designs are useless. Previo...

Implementation and Performance Evaluation of a Multi-Path Incremental Shortest Path Algorithm in Quagga Routing Software

In this paper a multi-path incremental shortest path algorithm has been proposed allowing a quick reconfiguration of a routing table when a network topological change occurs. After evaluating the algorithm complexity, we have implemented it in Quagga, one of the most popular open source routing software. In order to evaluate the algorithm performance, we have realized a test-bed allowing the sh...

Hybrid Routing for FPGAs by Integrating Boolean Satisfiability with Geometric Search

Boolean Satisfiability (SAT)-based routing has unique advantages over conventional one-net-at-a-time approaches such as simultaneous net embedding or routability decision. Yet SAT-based routing has been criticized for scalability issues. On the other hand, geometric search routing algorithms, even with extensive rip-up-reroute capabilities, have difficulty achieving routing solution convergence...

The Urban Path Routing Adjustable Optimization by Means of Wavelet Transform and Multistage Genetic Algorithm

This paper introduces the optimization algorithm to improve search rate in urban path routing problems using viral infection and local search in urban environment. This algorithm operates based on two different approaches including wavelet transform and genetic algorithm. The variables proposed by driver such as degree of difficulty and difficulty traffic are of the essence in this technique. W...

A fast algorithm to test planar topological routability

We develop a simple linear time algorithm to determine if a collection of two pin nets can be routed, topologically, in a plane (i.e. single layer). Experiments indicate that this algorithm is faster than the linear time algorithm of Marek-Sadowska and Tarngg1].
